1/2 C. butter
1/3 C. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 C. powdered sugar
3/4 C. chocolate chips (white or milk, I like to use the mini ones)
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and whisk until sugar dissolves and mixture starts to bubble. Set aside to cool, and whisk in vanilla.
Cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar. Slowly add in brown sugar and butter mixture. Mix until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips. You can serve immediately, but I found it was better to let it sit in the fridge for an hour or so to let all the flavors meld.
Serve with graham cracker sticks [I bought these “Cookie Butter” cookies from Trader Joes] or just eat it with a spoon ♥
